Le Bistro Chez Michel is welcoming our new executive chef Gilles Deroff , formerly at the Teahouse restaurant and the last 7 years at L'Hermitage restaurant on Robson street in Vancouver.
After finishing culinary school at age 16 and four years in Marseille , French Polynesia, and Paris as a chef in Brasseries and Bistros to acquire experience, Gilles came to Montreal to open a restaurant for some friends in 1980. Doing most of his career in French restaurants in Canada and the United States he brings with him over 35 years of experience and he is still passionate at cooking fresh traditional bistro food with a modern twist.
Le Bistro is pleased to bring to the already ethnically rich North Shore dinning scene more opportunities for our local clientele to experience a true french bistro/brasserie dinning experience .
Chef Gilles Deroff new dinner menu will be launched on September 30th 2008
